The Sensorium offers the felt-sense experience of developmental movement, yoga therapy & somatic alchemy.
Designed for space-holders of all kinds, this half-day workshop supports the deepening of both personal and professional practice by supporting the body-security system to resolve threat & restore present time awareness, re-discover missed core developmental competencies and experience more vitality, flow & stability.
We know all too well that many of us practitioners have devoted ourselves to offering others what we rarely receive ourselves.
We hold space and offer attunement so skillfully for others— and so rarely find someone able to hold that level of depth & skill for us.
Most continuing education deepens the mind: more frameworks, more techniques, more letters after our name. Rarely does it deepen the felt sense– the actual terrain we're working with, in ourselves and in every body we come into contact with.
It’s no wonder so many of our clients are just like us: seeking to be met deeply in the tender, human places that are beyond intellect. A place so few know how to access unless they have been there.
We believe the most important education is experiential. Meaning, knowing it is not enough. It has to be felt– lived in the tissue before it's understood by the mind.
Somatic bottom-up processing bypasses the Default Mode Network– finally quieting the critical mind & ego, allowing transformation to occur more quickly, efficiently & resolving the threat responses that adverse experiences activated in the body.
The Sensorium offers this: a space to receive, to learn & most importantly, to experience.
We will explore the brilliance of the body-security system, re-pattern developmental movement, attune to the breath of life itself as you have a felt-sense transmission of your own safety, presence & vitality.
It’s possible that all you’ve learned before this may also find its way to integration– allowing you to fully occupy and inhabit the knowledge you already have.
What we've found, again and again: the most powerful practitioners are the ones who've deepened their own felt-sense relationship to safety, presence & vitality first. Who don’t just know about somatics, but embody the wholeness so fully, miracles are created in their presence.
Immersed together in experiential & communal learning, you might find yourself:
- Moving beyond conceptual understandings of “somatics” and into the felt-sense experience of your own Sensorium
- Rediscovering missed developmental competencies that quietly shape everything: from your intimate partnerships & parenting to downstream in your practice
- Embodying a stronger, steadier sense of Self– making you less susceptible to getting pulled into the momentum of others
- Widening your capacity to stay with what's happening in the body & in present time
- Anchored in the principles of “safe-enough conditions” with an embodied understanding of the core developmental competencies having felt them in your own body
- Reconnecting with your own vitality, flow & dynamic range
- At home in your body's motility, its free movement, its own intelligence
- Attuned to breath of life & the fields that move beneath conscious effort
- Held in a broader web of support among fellow practitioners & the More Than Human support so readily available
- Leaving with practical tools & principles you can carry directly into your work
- More resourced to amplify the health & vitality of your own practice, life & relationships
Essentially, if you want the practical tools, principles & embodied skill to amplify the safety, health and vitality of your life & practice... join us September 26 at The Sensorium.
A return to the body's original intelligence.

Meet your Facilitators:
If you're anything like us, you're trying to live into a new way of being— dreaming up new worlds as the old systems crumble beneath us.
Times of upheaval are the most potent times to anchor into new realities. In somatics, it's precisely through destabilization that new patterns begin to take shape in the brain and body.
As practitioners of wellbeing, we believe our own vitality, inner safety, and capacity are portals to that reality. And we know that the healing our society needs requires inner stability, a strong sense of Self, and a willingness to show up imperfectly, deeply honest, and incessantly hopeful about what's possible.
We don't have all the answers. But we are devoted to living, practicing, and serving our way into a world where all of us can thrive in our innate dignity, wholeness, and belonging.
If you're looking for a place to experience your vitality, inner stability, and wholeness in a new way — join us for The Sensorium.

She is the founder of Inner Vision Psychotherapy, where she works with individuals and couples, supervises therapists, facilitates groups, and co-leads The Inner Wild, an annual retreat in Morvern, Scotland.

She is passionate about creating spaces that foster greater self-awareness, authenticity, and connection, supporting people through the transformative thresholds where new ways of being can emerge.
A note from your guest teachers:
We're so grateful to Kathryn of Inner Vision Psychotherapy for bringing us to LA.
As a queer, neuro-complex couple from the Midwest— Autism, ADHD & C-PTSD represented— it's our life's work to make healing that actually works accessible to those who diverge from dominant culture.
Bottom-up somatic work is proving especially effective for neuro-complex folks; particularly around autism, attachment wounds, and C-PTSD. We can't wait to share the tools we've gathered from 30+ years of combined education, private practice, and personal healing. Expect to learn from the following modalities:
- Yoga Therapy
- Functional Integration & Developmental Movement
- Alchemical Alignment
- Quantum Coherence & Biodynamics
- Shamanism, Earth Medicine
- Sacred Enneagram
A big thank you to Kathryn and Inner Vision for the invitation. We are thrilled to meet you!
“Madison’s retreat last year was truly life-shifting. It helped me rewrite old stories about who I was and what was possible for me. The community space she created felt healing, supportive, and deeply nourishing. I left feeling renewed in my sense of purpose and grounded in rituals I now carry into my everyday life. The experience was intentional, deep, and delightfully playful. Madison’s attention to detail and care is impeccable — I felt truly seen, held, and nourished. I absolutely cannot wait to return.”
-Christina, Therapist
“I’ve gotten so many reminders of what I can do to make my life so much better. I’m so inspired for my practice now. I feel like all my sharp edges got sanded down and it is more comfortable just inhabiting my body physically, psychologically, and emotionally. I’m so grateful, and I’m so interested in learning more of this foundation of the elements and to continue to have this space together to unlearn bad habits again and again.”
-Mick
"Attending last year's retreat was a deeply nourishing experience—one that brought parts of myself forward, that for too long have been forced into the background of my life. Doing this alongside others seeking their authentic selves allowed my hidden parts to feel safe being seen. Through guided ceremonies, somatic practices, and elemental rituals, I found myself peeling back layers of old stories and old longings and reconnecting to something ancient and true within me. This was met and attuned to by the ancient wisdom of the land we gathered upon, something I don’t yet fully understand but am now curious about constantly. This wasn’t just a pause from everyday life; it was a remembering, a return, and a new beginning."
Return to your true nature— interconnected, supported, fully expressed and free.
Elora R. - writer
“My intuition is heightened, my experiences are validated, my creativity has expanded and shown me the way to healing.”
Lauren S. - therapist
“This work has allowed me to drop into my internal wisdom for healing and wholeness. The gentleness and spaciousness of the process has allowed hidden and shamed parts of me to emerge to the surface and bloom in their own time. I have built a secure foundation for my desires to be planted internally and to grow at a sustainable pace rather than huge expansions and then collapsing into shame.”
Megan C. - therapist
“I see myself as good and valid & no longer live from shame of my neurodivergence. I feel self-compassion, love, and I’ve gotten to know my Unique Essence– I no longer label myself as shameful, wrong or bad.”
